Sometimes, things just don’t turn out right. Maybe I should be more diplomatic and say these cupcakes were “challenging.” So, thesd are triple chocolate mini cupcakes, with a sour cream chocolate cake, chocolate buttercream, and a bittersweet chocolate wafer. For some reason, the cake just didn’t come out right. It is ultra light and fluffy, but that means it doesn’t hold its shape well and falls apart easily.

Despite that, I was able to salvage enough good looking ones to put together a nice batch for the going away party for Michael, a friend and comrade I met through Direct Action to Stop the War and, more recently, the Mobilization for Climate Justice. He’s moving on to Seattle – but, hopefully he’ll be back soon. (Really, no pressure there Michael, I’m just saying.)

As always, more photos here.
