Carrots & Beaches
This weekend, oddly enough, brings two different carrot cakes (one vegan, one not), for two different birthdays. Today is a decidedly not vegan carrot cake with cream cheese frosting requested by Chris for Vanessa. Because Vanessa loves the ocean and water, we decided to go with a simple beach theme.
The sand is brown sugar – I had originally thought to go with crushed walnuts, but given how many people are allergic to nuts, I don’t include them in an order unless there is a specific request. I was very happy with the way this turned out and I hope they enjoyed it!
Brooke said, “I was there when Vanessa was surprised with this cake and I knew right away that it was a Jen Angel production. She loved it!!!!”
On to carrot cake number two! And on Tuesday, pink cupcakes!
