Salted chocolate cupcakes, peach colored, three ways. I was pretty hesitant on the color, but I think it came out gorgeous – which probably has more to do with the beautiful morning sunlight than anything, really. These were for Jon and Danielle (Happy Birthday!), and you can see an alternate photo here.
I also just made a small chocolate and raspberry cake for the birthday of dear friend Sasha, an organizer with Pride at Work. Unfortunately, no photos of that (really red) one -there’s just something about taking photos with indoor lighting that doesn’t work for me. Maybe I just need better lights?
This weekend – the Cupcakes for Choice benefit, and hopefully some time off! I’ve been working hard on the upcoming Angel Cakes expansion (which will happen in June-ish), which has meant working with an awesome logo designer and an equally awesome website designer on the new, updated look. Both of them, by the way, worked on my other project, Aid & Abet, and I was so thrilled with the results. So, look for something new from me in the summer (with frequent updates along the way).
Have a great weekend!

Remind me to give you some of the PINK sea salt my friend Naomi just sent me from Hawaii, it would look great on chocolate frosting!
Awesome! Plus one day I’ll try it with some of the other varieties that will give different subtle flavors.
